When you pack your book for the big move to Dubai, know that you left America in disgrace and disarray. Due to your administration’s greedy and aggressive actions, we are no longer respected.
We are left in an untenable war in the Middle East, with no clear-cut escape, which has seen the death and injury of too many, wrought even more anger and outrage at our great nation. The human values in which Americans took pride, that stood as world standards, abandoned in your treacherous enrichment of oil interests, pharmaceutical companies and the infamous Haliburton.
You abandoned those whose lives were destroyed by Katrina. Without federal standards, families, in staggering numbers, lost homes to foreclosure. You did nothing but offer empty words and promises to our failing education system.
You spoke of terror, but kept our borders and ports unprotected. In the name of corporate greed, your administration saw to it that our food and product safety regulations were either ignored or nonexistent. Betrayed from within and sold to the highest bidders.
In your stubborn inability to listen to the whisper which became a shout, you cut yourself off, without connection, to those people you represented–the American People.
