    • Dear President Bush,

    I voted for you in 2000, then against you in 2004, and no longer associate myself with the GOP. In September of 2001 this country needed a leader, and you failed to provide that leadership. Seven years later, your continued lack of leadership has all but destroyed the economy, prosperity, and international respect we citizens once had.

    In January 2009 you will be replaced by Sen. Obama or Sen. McCain, and under either’s leadership I can only hope they are able to quickly unravel the mess you allowed to happen, and return our country to the pride and dignity we once enjoyed.

    One thing you have done Mr. Bush, better perhaps than any other president, is to show everyone the importance of character in choosing a world leader. You have stuck to your guns regardless of what anyone else in the world thought. It should be a lesson for all of us raising children to…  more »
