  • Mr. President,
I’d like to thank you for eight years of growth. I’ve seen myself and this country grow in these past eight years in ways I’ve never dreamed of nor feared. Now, sometimes I fear. I fear the inability of our nation to see eye-to-eye and respect each other on moral issues. I fear the obstacles that we’ve built for ourselves in foreign relations and in the American Dream. I fear the phone taps and video cameras. I am grateful for the safety, but I’d rather be scared of invaders than my own country’s government. I voted for you twice, Sir, in Florida. I stand by my decisions, but question whether I’d repeat them. I want to feel free, not surveilled. Who will make that change for us all? Will it take us all, or one good man or woman? The active and eager group of Americans seems to be diminishing.

    Thanks again for the growth.

    Your voter,
    Travis Knight
