  • Dear Mr. President,

I am one American who will not be the least bit emotional to see you leave office. You have had your 15 minutes of fame when 9/11 came around, and you felt to extend it by not only invading Afghanistan - which was a good decision in my opinion - but also invading Iraq, which was arguably the most boneheaded mistake made by a President since LBJ decided it was o.k. to invade Vietnam; for that, you should be ashamed. This “war” has cost our nation not only in tax dollars, which has plunged our economy on the brink of recession, but also in blood; you felt the need to oust Saddam Hussein so strongly that not only did you not ask for Congress’ approval, but you also forgot to realize that Saddam had no ties to al Qaeda or “weapons of mass destruction”. I feel, like my father does, that the only reason you chose to invade was because your father didn’t capture him when he had the chance; mind you my father was in Desert Storm during your father’s presidency.

I pray that God has mercy on your soul, Sir.

It is still hard for me to believe that one man could damage our democracy as extensively as you have in your eight years as President. I have lived in real fear that our constitution would dissolve under your leadership. You have done all that you can to return us to the dark ages of…  more »
