  • During your administration I have:

    1. Seen my yearly income drop. (My last job paid what I made a decade ago.)
    2. Seen my savings account carry a negative balance.
    3. Seen my health care costs rise to the point that I can no longer afford insurance for a family of five.
    4. Seen the rise of just about every expense, from food to gas.
    5. Seen a combined four years of unemployment. (I am a white collar, high-tech professional, who can’t get a job to save his life.)
    6. Seen a steady decline in the value of my home. (I will lose my home well before you leave the White House.)

Is it any wonder why I left your party? I voted for you in 2000, and have paid a bitter price ever since.

History will not be kind to you. It shames me to think of the millions that will be spent in building your presidential library. That money should be spent on the lives destroyed by an unwarranted war which you created.

The world will cheer the day you leave office.

How do you say farewell to someone with so much power, ambition, stubborness and greed ? I at first hesitated to write anything, thinking there was no way I could give a proper send-off to a president. But, I came up with a farewell I think is both meaningful and honest. Farewell…  more »
