You may not have been all things to all people, but the fact still remains that there have been no further terrorist attacks on US soil since 9/11. Thank you for that.

Yeah there were no further terroist attacks because the main terrorist resided in the White House.

It should be noted that Bush did nothing to solve the diplomatic issues that led to the 9/11 attacks; he did, however, do a whole lot to exacerbate them. He’s going down in history as a goon for big business, no two ways about it.

Yes, thanks for keeping us safe from peace and freedom, our Constitution and privacy, finding Bin Laden, a healthy economy, corporate accountability, energy efficiency, equal treatment under the law, respect throughout the world, the Geneva Convention, prosperity, a fully-equiped military, fair banking practices, honesty, protecting endangered species and our environment, governmental agencies that actually do their job, government contractors who actually do their job, truth, justice and the American way, oh and yes….a President with a command of the English language. Thank you soooooo much!

I’m pretty sure you’re thanking the wrong person there. I’m sure the CIA and FBI, after failing miserably by allowing the attacks in the first place, had something to do with the prevention of follow-up attacks. But much more importantly, you should be thanking the women and men in service of our country who have done their best in Afghanastan (with little support from the President), at home, and abroad. They are the only heroes to arise during this farce of a presidency.

Correlation is not causation. Under Bush, the amount of terrorist attacks globally increased dramatically - they always do under Republican presidents. You are far more likely to be hit by lightning than to be anywhere near a terrorist attack, let alone be maimed or killed by one. You obviously belong to the Chicken Little League, at best.
As for the war in Afghanistan, we were lied into it just as we were lied into Iraq - the real reason for the Afghan war is because the Taliban refused to allow a pipeline (Unocal) to be built through Afghanistan to take Caspian Sea Basin oil and natural gas to Pakistan and the Indian ocean. That war was planned months before 9/11. Our men and women in Afghanistan are fighting only to allow for that pipeline to be built, and in the future, to protect that pipeline.
