You’ve embarrassed many formerly proud Americans. A lot of us–not just Michelle Obama–find many sad things to be embarrassed about: Your abuse of Executive Powers, shredding of the Constitution, perverting our Justice System, your continued killing of brave Americans, neglecting our wounded, refusing to welcome our dead home, breaking faith with Iraqi refugees who helped us, and last and worst–killing hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqis–to name just the top several.
You have damaged us badly while ignoring your foremost sworn duty–to protect us. You’ve made the country a safer and better customer for Dick Cheney’s Haliburton and for your oil supporters
We whom you leave behind with your messes are complicit. We let you steal the 2000 and 2004 elections. We supported you when you took us falsely to war. We put up with your lack of leadership and rule by public relations. We let our representatives avoid impeaching you.
You have given given imperialism and totalitarianism a bad name.
You are the emperor in The Emperor’s New Clothes.
May God forgive you.
